Ingredients
- - First Layer -
- 200 g. sugar
- 250 g. unsalted butter
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 lemon rind
- 250 g. flour
- apricot jam
- - Second Layer -
- 6 egg whites
- 250 g. sugar
- 1 vanilla sugar
- 250 g, ground nuts ( plus some for sprinkle)
Instructions
- - First Layer -
Whisk butter, add sugar and whisk again
Add egg yolk and lemon rind and whip well
Add flour and blend it smooth - - Second Layer -
Whip egg white, slowly add sugar and whip again
Add vanilla and ground nuts and blend slowly - Spread second layer over first layer
- Sprinkle top with chopped nuts
- Bake at 350 F for 30 min
- Then at 325 F for 20 min.
- Check with tooth pick
