Ingredients
- First Layer -
200 g. sugar
250 g. unsalted butter
6 egg yolks
1 lemon rind
250 g. flour
apricot jam
- Second Layer -
6 egg whites
250 g. sugar
1 vanilla sugar
250 g, ground nuts ( plus some for sprinkle)
Instructions
- First Layer -
Whisk butter, add sugar and whisk again
Add egg yolk and lemon rind and whip well
Add flour and blend it smooth
- Second Layer -
Whip egg white, slowly add sugar and whip again
Add vanilla and ground nuts and blend slowly
Spread second layer over first layer
Sprinkle top with chopped nuts
Bake at 350 F for 30 min
Then at 325 F for 20 min.
