In saucepan combine
2 cups sugar
½ cup milk
½ cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Bring to a full boil. Remove from heat.
Stir in
½ teaspoon vanilla
3 ½ cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup flaked coconut
½ cup chopped walnuts
dash salt
Drop quickly from teaspoon onto waxed paper. Let cool.
Makes about 48 cookies.
Notes:
Can be frozen after fully cooling. To defrost, place on plate.
Can be made without nuts
